We used to like personalized stuffs and still now, so we make up favorite laptops, or other electric products. Now it is time we pay. When the custom stickers get old and never do anything good to you anymore. Some of them even start to peel off and influence appearance of laptop.

So how we remove those custom stickers or decals is quite annoying? Here are some steps you might like to try.

Start from the edges of custom decals and pull it up slowly from the edge you just started with an angle between 45 and 90 degrees. Never bend the custom sticker back further than a 90 degree angle, as this will promote the separation of the glue backing and printed material.

Clean the surface. Some sticker residue may be rubbed off easily, while some require additional help.

Try rubbing off the remaining sticker residue by hand or a cloth or tissue gently.
If some sticker residue stays, try using duct tape or other very sticky tape to remove the remaining residue.

Apply a small amount of cooking oil, such as canola or olive oils to the adhesive with a paper towel. Allow the oil to sit on the adhesive for site 2-5 minutes. The adhesive should now easily scrape off with your finger or a soft plastic tool. Using window cleaner, such as Windex, and a clean paper towel clean the remaining oil and adhesive off.

If they are still not working, use chemicals. A popular and extremely useful method is to use a citric-acid based cleaner such as "Goo-Gone". Another liquid to try is alcohol, try spraying a small amount of your deodorant or perfume, if that is handy. Aerosol furniture polish, like Old English, can be very effective. The premier is you should not allow any liquid flow into electric part.

If they don’t still work, good luck with your laptop. You should ask for professional help now.
