It is hard to remove car stickers when they are damaged, not only beatifying but also uglifying the cars. What are we going to do with those annoying thing?

There are usually 2 ways: Hair dryer method and lubricant method.

Remove with Hair dryer

Method: Hair dryer’ heat make car sticker harder and stiffer, which cause sticker to lift. With that, you are able to remove.

Step 1, find a powerful hair dryer. Hold the hair dryer about 6" from the sticker and blow heat directly on the car stickers for a minute or two. If the corner of the sticker does not start to lift, try longer.

Step 2, starting at a corner with your fingernail (or razor blade to grab the edge only), peel back a corner. Pull back, not pull directly up, folding the corner over against the face of sticker. Pull slowly by the corner of the sticker in the opposite direction and continue to apply heat as needed.

Step 3, once the car sticker is off, clean remaining adhesive with a piece of cloth or tissues. There are usually small piece of adhesives left on bumper, continue with PPG Ditzo DX 440. You may need to reapply wax to the area.

Remove with Lubricant

Method: lubricant is great to remove some stubborn adhesive.

Step 1, peel back an edge of car decal with your fingers or a razor. Spray lubricant such as WD-40 or Triflow into the now exposed part of the car decal. This should release the seal of car stickers and allow you to continue peeling.

Step 2, continue spraying and peeling till car decal is completely removed. Wipe down the now clean bumper to remove excess lubricant.

There is a cheaper way with lubricant method. Keep wetting the car stickers with water, and wipe hard with a clean dry cloth, and do this on and on until it is completely off. And use some lubricants to get rid of the left. It needs patience but works well. One thing you never do is don’t wipe with sharp tool.
